Marina Mavian was born in Venice, the pre-eminent city of Art.
She started her career very young and obtained her diploma at the "Scala Theater in Milan".
She worked in Italy and in other countries with brilliant success.
Her artistic sensibility and her rich inside feelings are expressed through not only by the harmonious movements of her classic dance but are also perceived in her walking and smiling. She spends her spare time painting. Admiring her personal exposition at " Hay-Dun "in Milan has been a real pleasure for her family and friends and was resulted in a great success.
She paints mostly religious subjects particularly ancient Armenian churches of the IV and VI century, whichs survived the times, the wars and earthquakes .
She reproduces facades, stained glass windows, multicolored domes and the " Kathchkar " from Armenia.
Marina is fascinated by the lives of the saints. She gathers lots of documentary information, which enables her to paint "Icons ".
She perfectly reproduces the famous miniatures which ornate the ancient Armenian manuscripts of " Maderataran "in Erevan and other libraries of the world.
Every painting enriches and personalizes her particular touch to reflect Marina's spirituality and intimate religion.
In her production we find harmonious sequence of colors and perfect equilibrium of the subjects, reproducing the rhythm and harmony of music and dance.
Marina's works deserve to be praised, both for the intrinsic value and because they favor the diffusion of Armenian Culture in the world.
