STEPAN SHAKARYAN FRENCH QUINTET (RETRO) FOR PIANO, TWO VIOLINS, VIOLA AND CELLO   The French quintet (Retro) was written in honor of the opening of the French Embassy in Armenia.  The composition was inspired by vivid impressions of the first days of Paris.  Part 1-morning, awakening of the nature..., solo episode of the cello, as if the radio was playing Edit Piaff's voice. Part 2-noon, walk in the city.  The tune of a popular song, "Parisian Boulevards" is used in contrast to an Armenian dance music. Part 3-night, dreams, Paris at night. STEPAN SHAKARYAN AMERICAN TRIO VARIATIONS FOR VIOLIN, CELLO AND PIANO "American trio" of Stepan Shakaryan attracts with temperament and impulsive rhythms.The works conception is based on organic synthesis of artistic strata, traditions of classical music, the elements of  jazz, blues and cowboy songs' intonations, rhythms of Mexican dances and etc.  All of this varied material is refracted through the prism of the author's individuality.         NOTES   .
