Wood engraving class

The wood engraving class has been functioning in Naregatsi Art Institute since 2008. Initially it was led by Samvel Avanesyan. After a temporary pause the class regained their lessons under the leadership of Artak Poghosyan, a member of the Artists' Union of Artsakh with teaching experience of 17 years.
Artak Poghosyan is currently teaching at the College of Humanities of Shushi. He has participated in several group exhibitions both in Armenia and abroad.
Wood crafting and wood engraving art has had an important historical significance for the town of Shushi with the rich cultural history of the Nagorno Karabakh and Naregatsi Art Institute Shushi Center continues the nice tradition left by their ancestors and educates the younger generation in their spirit.
