Naregatsi Art Institute hosted a meeting with composer, pianist Artur Aharonyan from France.
The meeting was entitled "25 Years Later".
-I am very grateful to this Center that I learned about during the presentation of my teacher Tigran Mansurian's CD. I am glad that my creative evening is here, in this spiritual center of art. Thanks to my teachers for being with me, and as there is a wonderful musical instrument here and I will play one work, - said Artur Aharonyan in his speech.
Artur Aharonian presented his works and talked about them.
- I was impressed with Artur's Violin Concerto, which I heard for the first time. It's a very good concert. Besides, I want to say that Arthur is a very diligent and honest Armenian. It is important that he is a composer who keeps traditions. He has his home in France and Armenia, which he has acquired owing to his honest work, and I love this type of Armenians, - said composer Tigran Mansurian.
The event was attended by the composer – pianist’s teachers, friends and relatives.
Composer and pianist Artur Aharonyan was born in 1962 in Yerevan. In 1986 he graduated from Komitas Conservatory, piano and composer departments (Eduard Baghdasaryan, then Tigran Mansurian's classes).
Naregatsi Art Institute founder Nareg Hartounian granted Artur Aharonyan the title of "Ambassador of Armenian Culture" handing him the Naregatsi Art Institute’s unique gift-award, a small khachkar with the symbol of the union, which combines the Lord's blessing and culture.
In 1993 he went to Paris and has been a professor of Conservatory named after Darius Mioi in Paris since 2002.
Artur Aharonyan is a member of the Union of Composers of Armenia and the Union of French Authors and Composers (SACEM).
As a pianist he had performances in Russia, in many European countries, in Canada and in the United States of America.
"The use of diverse genres is typical to his works."
His creative list includes works of piano music and various pieces of instrumental music to symphonic and concerto works.
